Summary/Abstract: The concept of the research situation (ethnographic situation) extends well beyond the traditionally captured problem of the ethnographic / anthropological fieldwork methodology. In this study, I analyze the research situation as a set of circumstances in which the cognitive process takes place, the broader social and political context, conditions in which field research takes place, i.e. the meeting of the anthropologist with the subject of his research.
