Summary/Abstract: The article displays the ways of presenting of the cultural memory on the example of three drama plays which have been on the stage in the theatres of Upper Silesia for the last ten years. Common for three plays, a very important component of this cultural memory and its understanding is the family with the essential role of the grandmother and the place of the memory – the kitchen. The article puts a question about the definition of Silesian identity in the context of the repeatability of the memory models, about their un(aware) reproduction and the intensity of the memory’s media used expressions.
