Summary/Abstract: Based on the achievements of the anthropocentric theory of human languages, each understanding of a text is a specific understanding of a particular individual. A translator who has at his/her disposal a graphically executed language expression, which contains nothing but a graphic substance in itself, has to try to reproduce the meaning of a legal text, striving to bring his/her own understanding closer to the way of understanding of the author of the text. The rules of interpretation of legal texts used by the authors to create and interpret their texts will be helpful. I will call the process of reconstructing the meaning of legal texts, which is based on the rules of interpretation of legal texts and the principles developed within the course of translation studies, as “translational interpretation of legal texts”.
