Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present on a very specific example the changes the original texts goes through in the process of translation depending on the assumed addressee of the translation and their competences. The methodological base is the skopos theory with its modification. This work compares two types of translation strategies (foreignization and domestication) and two types of addressees (familiar vs. unfamiliar addressee) in translation. The subject of this translation analysis and translation is the original Italian criminal law document „Ordine di esecuzione” (a writ issued by the Public Prosecutor, directing any executive officer to convey the person named in the writ to a prison or jail, and directing the jailor to receive and imprison the person.
