Summary/Abstract: The article is aimed at the analysis of the experience of being-in-the-landscape and at pointing out the difference between the aesthetic landscape (defined by its visual elements) and the cultural landscape (whose sense depends on the level of human settling in). The author shows that being-in-the-landscape first of all amounts to a sensual perception composed of the topographical and the sensorial experience that result in cultural shaping and transmuting of physical qualities of the landscape by humans.
