Summary/Abstract: This article presents the concept and fragments of the analyses of studies covering 369 pre-school children, which took place in different Polish cities in 2016. These were diagnostic and exploratory studies, the main aim of which was to identify and analyse specific manifestations of wisdom in children of senior pre-school age, during mental activity involving open tasks. Such studies and analyses of the research material collected could only be possible using mixed methods, which facilitated a better organisation of these studies and allowed for broader conclusions to be drawn, also with regard to generalisations of the results of the studies conducted.
