Summary/Abstract: The Big Data tools developed for marketing research, in particular the free YouTube Analytics system, have created unprecedented possibilities in the field of pedagogical research. YouTube’s provision of educational videos and presentations involves obtaining access to a number of reports and their comparisons. This solution allows the researcher not to deal with the collection and development of observational data. His/Her task concerns only their interpretation. The ability to track indicators concerned with maintaining attention together with the mechanisms of filtering reports according to demographic data, sources of access, time, etc., allows for the formulation of a very wide range of research problems. The mass character of this type of implicit observation offers researchers new ways of interpreting the behaviour of students, and, above all, modifying and implementing the educational media tested.
