Summary/Abstract: The author of the article carries out an analysis of a theory of fact in literature in Debora Vogel’s theory. Franz Roh’s magic realism and Russian new realism provide the context for her avant-garde theory. Reception of Neue Sachlichkeit and Left Front of the Arts works is seen in Vogel’s writings of the 1930s. The author presents the basic principles standing behind Vogel’s aesthetics: constructivism, simultanism, literary montage and the notion of realism.
