Summary/Abstract: The theme of this paper is a memoir book by Tomasz Różycki Tomi. Notatki z miejsca postoju [Tomi. Notes from a Stopping Place]; which consists of several dozen short forms of prose. The author; returning to the same motifs in his works; remains faithful to the subject of travel; which is particularly visible in the text that interests me. This collection; however; does not constitute a typical reportage – it is rather an interesting proposition of the quaint travel literature; which includes not only wandering around real places; but also a memorable; literary and cultural journey that encourages reflection on the condition of the modern world. Tomi. Notatki z miejsca postoju is a kind of mental reportage; which is an interesting proposition among contemporary travel-related publications.
