Evolution of media and the crisis of representation

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the changes in existing models of media representation. The development of particular technologies and the evolution of ways of functioning of images in the contemporary media sphere led to the erosion of the paradigm of representation. The main factor contributing to the process of redefinition of the typical representationism is post‑media: technologies combining digital code, IT data, physical space (where the data circulates) and human activities realstes to the spheres mentioned above (primarily thanks to mobile applications).
