The aesthetic approach, interpretation, creative attitude and critical thinking are focus in the human pain, suffering and tragedy topics. This work allows exploring multiple identities present in SSL classroom. For that, the poems Los heraldos negros, of the Peruvian Cesar Vallejo; Un carnívoro cuchillo, of the Spanish Miguel Hernandez; Un terrorista: Él observa, of the Polish Wisława Szymborska; and the painting The Scream, of the Norwegian Edvard Munch are required. This proposal is led to C2 level students. This seeks to generate a participatory and meaningful environment with regard to the poems and picture mentioned, and their sociocultural and historic contexts, where they appear or those that they appeal. Equally, the relations of these texts with the student daily experiences are considered.
