Summary/Abstract: The article contains an analysis and interpretation of works created by the students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice as a part of the project “Laboratory in the studio.” An artistic statement allows the authors to get an insight into the sphere of cultural practices and customs; shaped by the modern registers of knowledge but rooted in more permanent forms. The aim of the text is to discover the rationality of cultural practices associated with the idiom of a model.
