Summary/Abstract: In the article Logic and conversation explaining the concept of conversational implicature, Herbert Paul Grice has defined conversational rules, which are, in principle, characteristics of efficient, effective and ethical communication. The article implies that, in reference to Grice’s rules of conversation, it is worth analyzing, in junior high school language teaching classes, the fragments of dialogues from Małgorzata Musierowicz novel for youth entitled Brulion Bebe B. It would encourage students to discuss many important issues, including the principle of effective communication, style of speech, language as a means of individualization literary hero and verbal humor. Such activities also open up the possibility of integrating literary and linguistic education.
