Summary/Abstract: The complicated, ambivalent discourse of Miłosz with Mickiewicz is an interesting research problem. Milosz’s late poems reflect the finale of the Nobel Prize winner’s struggle with the legend of his great predecessor. Undoubtedly, Mickiewicz’s poetry, together with his legendary biography, is for Miłosz one of the most frequently recalled traditions. The following paper is an attempt to show this situation in the Polish language classes in high school. It proposes methodical solutions that can be applied to reading Miłosz’s work in reference to the works of the poet from the Romanticism. The proposed methodical project implies the usage of existing research on the discourse of Milosz with Mickiewicz in high school.
