Summary/Abstract: The starting point is the thesis that the use of various scientific theories, concepts, reflections in a research process is a natural consequence of the problem that is explored. A lack of awareness of their dissimilar paradigmatic assumptions constitutes the main relevance-related trap as regards the choice of these concepts. Incommensurability may also concern the methods (techniques and tools) of data collection and analysis that are applied. Therefore, complex research projects are particularly at risk of this trap, as well as the methods within which many research techniques and tools are used. The purpose of the article is to indicate certain pitfalls associated with the inconsiderate combinations of paradigms within one research concept, which is illustrated by the creation of eclectic worlds of people with disability. The tool that is used to identify the aforementioned pitfalls has to do with the category of incommensurability.
