Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to describe the factors that affect the nature of Polish democracy. The first one (external) is the economic transformation in politics which is going on in conditions dominated by neoliberal globalization and European integration. The second factor is connected with the first one and means identity crisis within Polish political parties. The crisis is leading to the loss of trust and finally to institutional lack of durability.
