Summary/Abstract: The promotion of literature for young readers in the twenty-first century is in many cases on the Internet. Significant role plays the idea of Web 2.0: social networking sites, forums and blogosphere. It is significant that in the blogosphere relating to literature for young audience the dominant voice belongs to the older generation, parents, librarians and publishers. However, against the background of adult speech presenting their point of view on literature for children and young people, the voice of the still immature blogs’ authors becomes audible increasingly. Preliminary research conducted for the paper showed that in the Polish Internet there is at least a dozen blogs created by the students of primary, middle and secondary schools who are writing reflections after reading the books in virtual diary, trying to review them, and presenting themselves and their interest. The purpose of this article is to create a portrait of a young reader who writes a blog about books, including characteristics such as: age, gender, interests, literature preferences, the number of books read in the last year, purchasing books, visiting the library, the use of e-books etc. To create portrait data collected in the course of reading blogs and through questionnaires sent electronically were used.
