Summary/Abstract: Capital markets are an important element of any developed and stable economy, making the study of problems in the field relevant and of great significance. The development explores the capital market in Bulgaria before and after the country's entry into the European Union. In particular, the prospects and problems of the financial market are analyzed, drawing attention to the EU's Capital Markets Union Initiative. Based on the collected data and after analyzing the trends and problems on the topic, conclusions and recommendations are formulated regarding the Bulgarian financial market.
