Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the current report is to study in common what is the actual role of the African countries in the World Trade Organization (WTO). The organization was founded on the 1 of January 1995 and is one of a kind. It is an organization for trade opening and a forum for governments to negotiate trade agreements. It regulates the trade between members and operates a system of trade rules. The goal of the organization is to create a better and more integrated international trade system. The WTO is supposed to help the progress of free trade and all the members should take real benefits from this. The World Trade Organization has 159 members and a great number are countries from Africa. Mainly because of this, there is a necessity to observe and examine the actual state and role of these countries in the WTO in terms of constantly changing international trade situation and the global economy.
