Summary/Abstract: The paper represents a theoretical study of the structural convergence in the context of the European integration process. It gives an interpretation of this convergence in terms of dependences between structural changes and macroeconomic dynamics, as well as in terms of its relation to nominal and real convergences. The paper explains the importance of structural convergence for business cycles synchronization and monetary integration, and defines a several dimensions for its assessment, related to convergences of the structures of GDP, GVA, labor market, regions, relative prices and foreign trade.
