Summary/Abstract: Labor productivity is the best indicator of the efficiency of the labour force in Bulgaria. It has an impact on the average wage in the country, and this influence is a subject of constant debate because it is not clear whether the growth of the aand if it does, what should be a fair and economically justified ratio between the two. Moreover, at sectoral level, there are disparities between these two indicators. In this paper, by means of an indicator of disproportion, we try to identify the discrepancy between them in the different economic sectors of the Bulgarian economy over the last 20 years.
