Summary/Abstract: The paper aims at identifying the need to develop, promote and maintain sustainable consumption in line with the UN goals. The research methodology involves analyzing the content of theoretical sources to clarify the concept of sustainable consumption; content analysis of sustainable development goals and the regulatory environment of Varna Municipality related to the sustainable consumption in order to be given useful guidance for improving the regulatory environment.
