Summary/Abstract: The report presents an empirical study which aims, through statistical and comparative analysis to examine whether the economic effects generated in the EU as a result of the telecommunications sector liberalization, are observed also in Bulgaria (as a result of the analogous process taken place in the country). The current status of key market indicators in the country is examined as of mid-2010, and some recommendations are made for generating of further benefits from the liberalization process.
