Summary/Abstract: The teaching of translation involves several disciplines – translation into L1 and L2, history and deontology, etc. – each of them with its own specific objectives and methods. This study sets out to explore various ways in which translation for children can be used at the beginning of the university professional training of future translators. The author's starting point is the observation of the fact that this type of translation can illustrate “in miniature” most of the difficulties (terminological, cultural, linguistic and other) occurring in professional practice and the various kinds of possible solutions.
