Summary/Abstract: The direction towards EU reindustrialization is a result of the structural changes in European industry that are driven by profound changes in economic, social and information technology fields in Europe and in the world. The article clarifies some of the main reasons for reducing the share of the industry in the developed EU economies, the essence of reindustrialization in Europe and in Bulgaria.
