Summary/Abstract: Persons born outside the United States and immigrated into the country as children without valid federal approval are likely to find provisional work permission and avoid deportation. As the name implies, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was an American policy, which prevented the ejection of undocumented migrants brought into the country illegally by their parents. Rescinded by President Trump in 2017, DACA asserted that eligible migrants were free from deportation for two years, but were not conferred formal legal statuses.
