Summary/Abstract: The article is the case study of Can Decreix, an intentional community in the south of France in Cerbère. On the basis of ethnographic research, the author examines the community established in order to put the theoretical ideas of post-growth movement (décroissance) into practice. Particular attention is paid to the basic categories important for the community inhabitants − technology, work, simplicity and community.
