- Summary/Abstract:In this article, I describe and interpret the visions of home offered by Polish director Patryk Vega in a series of his action films directed for several years. My goal is to present a short critical study of the housing phenomenon in a section of his creative output. There is a visible contrast between his first picture "Pitbull" (2005) and following parts screened in theatres in 2016. Vega began with an effort to portray the dramatic state of public officers’ housing conditions. His later movies became blockbusters inspired by American action cinema, but a case of the visions of apartments remained. A sad picture of poor housing was replaced by fantasies about gangsters’ mansions.
