Summary/Abstract: The article discusses summative assessment (traditional) in school and university education. The author analyses the legislation on assessment and didactic practice in this field. The next section of the article describes the rules of formative assessment and the elements of game-based assessment, which can be an important and useful completion of the classic assessment.
