Summary/Abstract: Implementation of the access to information laws in BiH has been largely undermined due to weaknesses in the mechanisms intended to ensure compliance with the laws. Based on this policy analysis, two sets of recommendations for improving the enforcement and oversight of access to information have been formulated. One of the proposals points to improvements within the current institutional set-up, while the second set of recommendations refers to creating a new institutional oversight mechanism as a potentially transformative solution to these problems.
