Summary/Abstract: The expected deterioration of bilateral political relations with Joe Biden as president will not weaken the permanent elements - defence and economic cooperation - of U.S. policy towards Hungary. The new administration will maintain pressure on Hungary because of the latter’s tightening relations with Russia and China. However, the U.S. will not have effective instruments of influence, similar to previous administrations.
