Summary/Abstract: South Korea’s economy probably will not avoid recession this year, but it will be less severe than in other highly developed countries. The deteriorating economic situation in South Korea’s main trading partners - China, the U.S., and the EU - has weakened its own economic indicators. Despite the pandemic, South Korean companies continue foreign investments as planned, including in Central Europe. Rising tensions between China and the U.S. may strengthen the investment commitment of South Korean companies in Southeast Asia..
