Summary/Abstract: NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has set up a group of experts whose task is to develop recommendations on strengthening the political dimension and NATO consultations. The immediate reason for this decision was the unilateral actions of member states that might have a negative effect on the security of the Alliance. Therefore, a group of experts should primarily look for solutions to reduce the risk of such activities in the future. To this end, it is necessary to strengthen the specific dimension of consultations to increase the chances of coordinating allied policy towards the Middle East and North Africa, and even towards China.
