Summary/Abstract: Despite the uptake of various forms of telework (fully remote, hybrid and workcations), there is currently no bespoke status for employees wishing to work remotely across member state borders. This brings various challenges with respect to social security and taxes and creates hindrances for both employees and employers in cross-border situations.
