Summary/Abstract: Almost two decades after the end of the war and fourteen years after the establishment of diplomatic relations, Serbia and Croatia still move from one crisis to another – each reviving traditional and carefully cherished mutual animosities. Belgrade is responsible for such oscillations in the first place: not only when it comes to Croatia but also for the entire region. Official Belgrade recognizes regional realities with leaden step unwilling to acknowledge “new” borders.
