Summary/Abstract: The focus of this article is the appointment of board members of public institutions in the Tuzla Canton, with emphasis on certain controversial issues that arise in this process, for which could be said, quite reasonably, that they result in a violation of the law. First of them is the appointing of “temporary boards” or “temporary board members”, and the second is the issue of appointing candidates who do not meet the general criteria for appointment to the boards. The author of this analysis points out the illegal practice, indicates its negative effects, and draws attention to the attempt to establish a political and even party control over the resources of public institutions.
