Summary/Abstract: This paper investigates issues of spatial planning, construction and procedures for illegally constructed buildings. It focuses on the legal framework of the Act on Procedures regarding Illegally Constructed Buildings, while taking into account the legal consequences of legalization, as well as the failure to legalize buildings. Existing uncertainties and ambiguities of the regulations in question are also dealt with.
