Summary/Abstract: Using comparative method, the paper analyzes the extent to which the legislation of the Republic of Serbia has been harmonized with the leading anti-corruption normative standards of the United Nations - the UN Convention against Corruption and the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime with additional protocols. The UN's anti-corruption standards are the most important global standards in this matter and by their nature, transcending the anti-corruption standards of the Council of Europe and the acquis communautaire of the European Union. In addition to the fact that the implementation of these standards represents the international legal obligation of Serbia as a state of post-communist transition, it is also important for the establishment of the rule of law as the pillar of democracy.
