Summary/Abstract: On 19 February, the European Commission announced three documents relevant to the future of EU digital policy. They aim to stimulate the growth of the EU digital economy and initiate consultations on the regulation of socially sensitive aspects of new technologies. Funds for these purposes are to come mainly from the multi-annual EU budget. However, the planned measures are small and research priorities are likely to change in the face of a coronavirus pandemic.
