Summary/Abstract: The Baltic States are increasing their trade with China and counting on investments from the Chinese side, which has intensified political relations and interest. Economic cooperation between Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia and China will become more dynamic as long as this development does not interfere with U.S. support for the Baltic States in countering the Russian threat. This factor will play a greater role in their cooperation with China than for most other countries in the “17+1” format.
