Summary/Abstract: In its judgment of 6 March, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled that the arbitration dispute settlement model provided for in the investment agreement between Slovakia and the Netherlands is incompatible with EU law. The verdict may hinder the further application of similar solutions. The ruling, though, is conducive to Polish efforts to terminate investment protection agreements with other EU Member States.
