Summary/Abstract: Sweden’s strategy in combating the COVID-19 pandemic is to flatten the disease curve by isolating people at risk and formulating recommendations for the public. Undertaking actions based on government advice results from the crisis-management model, legal order, and characteristics of the social life of Swedes. Despite mild restrictions on economic activity, the government predicts a recession of 7% of GDP.
