Summary/Abstract: Although this year’s EU-India summit has been postponed, there is an opportunity to build the global strategic partnership because of internal circumstances—new leadership in the EU and India have declared they want to strengthen cooperation—and the international conditions, mainly the similarity of views towards the U.S., China, and global challenges. Achieving this goal will depend on overcoming the coronavirus pandemic and reducing tensions over trade and the state of democracy in India. EU-India engagement is an opportunity to intensify Poland’s relations with India.
