Summary/Abstract: The biggest European energy companies, with the consent of influential EU Member States and the support of Russian decision-makers, plan to build the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. The success of the project is the result of the effectiveness of lobbyists, for both political and economic forces and national and European ones. Poland’s vocal opposition to the project will be heard only if Warsaw manages to find an appropriate narrative along with sufficient allies and if it works actively and through various channels in the European Union to stop it.
