Summary/Abstract: With the Greek parliamentary elections approaching, the possibility the country may leave the eurozone is gaining momentum. An analysis of the various legal, political and economic implications of EMU withdrawal indicates that the best option for the EU would be to solve the Greek debt crisis as it stands, with the second option being a two-tier euro arrangement for countries undergoing financial restructuring.
