Short Description
The Restoration Notebooks is an annual publication of the Art Conservation Support Association – ACS Publishing House.
”The Restoration Notebooks” – a series of scientific articles dedicated to the conservation and restoration of the cultural heritage, collections of methodologies, norms and ethical principles, as well as testimonies of the practical experiences of the researchers and specialists. The articles are based on the experience of the specialist restorers, architects, urbanists, chemists, physicists, art historians, biologists, petrographers, structuralists and so on.
The publication has been edited since 2012 and it appeared against a series of aggressive and abusive interventions upon the cultural heritage components, which, sometimes from a lack of information, led to their irremediable alteration.
At present, The Restoration Notebooks has become a reference publication among the specialists and it can be found in the recommended curriculum of the professional schools.
