Short Description

SEC is the only international journal entirely devoted to etymology (of any language). Publishing languages are English, German and French. Every volume runs to appr. 200 pages and contains peer-reviewed studies by authors coming from various countries. So far the following countries have been being represented in SEC (alphabetically): Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, The Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, USA. Some volumes have been dedicated to specific persons (vol. 10 and 11 to August Friedrich Pott, vol. 14 to Eugene Helimski) or subjects (e.g. vol. 13 to proper names).
