Dilema – Weekly magazine of transition The magazine, which is a social and cultural weekly, was founded by Andrei Plesu in 1993 and shortly became a scene for intellectual debates. Each issue contains a six-page-file covering the most important cultural, social and political problems related to the transition period in Romania. It also addresses the recent developments in the fields of culture, politics, society, media, etc. Most of Dilema’s columnists are university professors, writers, political analysts and sociologists from Romania and abroad. Various themes are addressed equally and a great many number of opinions are offered on each topic. It stopped publishing in December 2003. Lettre internationale (Online) = ISSN 2065 - 7404 «Lettre Internationale» Romanian edition is a quarterly that presents in its pages various aspects of world and Romanian culture and literature. It publishes essays on topical issues in Europe and worldwide, debates on ideas, fiction, diaries, testimonies, poetry. It seeks to reveal significant instances of the present world and to debate their meanings. While standpoints are clear, they rejected extreme attitudes, intolerance, striving to judge events, opinions, works from various angles, pointing out shades of meaning relating to specific causes, circumstances and results. In other words, a severe critical spirit goes hand in hand with the need to elucidate and understand. The Romanian edition of "Lettre Internationale" was first published in 1992, appearing regularly ever since. "Lettre Internationale" was founded in 1984 in France by Antonin J. Liehm. In the same year an Italian edition also appeared; since then, "Lettre Internationale" has become an European magazine with ten different editions in as many languages, hosted by ten European capital cities.
