ABSTRACT.The Teaching on Church in Protestant Confessions of Faith. The official confessions of faith appeared in the XVIth century in the context of the challenges caused by the Reform. They are more ample explanations of the symbol of faith. The protestants give a very big importance to confessions of faith. These are put on the same level with the ecumenical symbols. We present briefly the Confessions of faith of Lutheran and Calvinist Church and the places where the doctrine on Church is exposed.

Die versöhnende Aufgabe der Verkündigung. Der Ruf unserer Zeit ist: Toleranz, Dialog und Versöhnung. Der Dialog zwischen der Kirchen soll sich auf Offenheit und Ehrlichkeit gründen; jeder soll die Versöhnung in Einheit und Wahrheit suchen. In der modernen säkularisierten Gesellschaft ist die innere Mission eine dringende Notwendigkeit, denn die Erneuerung der Kirche erfolgt durch innere Mission. Mission bedeutet Evangelisation und Martyria (Zeugnis). Proselytismus ist keine Evangelisation sondern ein Gegezeugnis. Neuevangelisation ist einer Ruf zur Busse und neuem Leben in der Kraft des Heiligen Geistes. Die missionarische Verkündigung ist eine Einladung der Menschen zum Glauben an Jesus Christus; sie ist die Voraussetzung für jede Predigt. Die in Christus realisierte Versöhnung soll durch die missionarische Verkündigung vermittelt werden als Versöhnung mit Gott und den Menschen. Die kirchliche Verkündigung soll immer im Dienst der Versöhnung stehen.

The synoptic Gospel tradition of Matthew and Mark has passed on harsh words which Jesus addressed at Peter (Mt 16: 23 and Mk 8: 33). The First of the Apostles was reprimanded soon after he had professed his faith. Such a context as well as the overtone of Jesus’ words make them an interesting pericope both for exegesis and theology, allowing a theologian to draw important conclusions for Christology and Ecclesiology. Indeed, this moment of the Gospel more distinctly reveals the Christ mystery as well as the mystery of what it means to be his discipie. Therefore there is “something more” revealed about Christ himself as well as “something more” about the Church as the community of Jesus’ disciples. In this paper, the author analyzes the meaning of the admonition. In order to do it, he discusses the sense of Jesus' words in the contexts of both Matthew and Mark, pointing to similarities and differences between their accounts. He also proposes a new translation of the analyzed words, different from the commonly accepted one. Finally, the author presents his most important conclusions and questions arising when reading the aforementioned pericopes, as well as their christological and ecclesiological consequences.

From the perspective of the past years the pontificate of beatified John Paul II demands some deepened theological reflection over the events which significantly affected the Church’s image in the contemporary world. It seems that the pope’s request for forgiveness for sins committed by the faithful of the Church is one of the gestures which changed the course of history. This event received a lot of attention in the international press. This paper analyzes press articles published in American, French and Italian daily papers. The request for forgiveness was not only presented as a historical event but also as the pope’s reaction to real, contrary to taught principles and sinful deeds of the Church’s faithful, about which some of churchmen would rather remain silent. However, even the twisted view of presenting that event could transmit the evangelical truth, awaking in a recipient spiritual experience. That’s why “the day of forgiveness” may be called a pearl of John Paul II’s pontificate, who was able to make the topic of forgiveness one of the interpretive keys to his apostolic ministry.

Eine der wichtigen und neusten Früchte des ökumenischen Engagements der Kirchen ist das Dokument der Kommission für Glauben und Kirchenverfassung des Weltkirchenrats unter dem Titel Die Kirche: Auf dem Weg zu einer gemeinsamen Vision. Der Text der Vereinbarung stütz sich auf der biblischen Vision der christlichen Einheit. Er leitet sich aus dem Grundziel her, das sich die Kommission „Glauben und Kirchenverfassung“ stellt, und das ist: „den Kirchen zu dienen, indem sie einander zur sichtbaren Einheit aufrufen in einem Glauben und einer eucharistischen Gemeinschaft, die sich im Gottesdienst und im gemeinsamen Leben in Christus wie auch durch Zeugnis und Dienst an der Welt äußert, und auf diese Einheit zugehen, damit die Welt glaube“ (Vorwort). Der Unterzeichner der Vereinbarung nach, sei der präsentierte Text ein Aufruf an Kirchen das Innere zu erneuern und somit sich mehr auf einen gegenseitigen Dialog zu öffnen, denn nur solche Einstellung zum „Verständnis“, besonders auf der ekklesiologischen Ebene und somit zum Anwachsen der ekklesialen Kommunion führt. Die Kommission für Glauben und Kirchenverfassung weist auf wesentliche Elemente hin, die über die Gestalt der ekklesialen Kommunion entscheiden. Dies sind: Gemeinschaft in der Fülle des apostolischen Glaubens, im sakramentalen Leben und in einem wahrhaft geeinten und wechselseitig anerkannten Amt (siehe Nr. 37). Die Autoren des Berichts erinnern, „Der Weg hin zur vollen Verwirklichung der Gemeinschaft als Gottes Gabe fordert von den christlichen Gemeinschaften, sich über die grundlegenden Aspekte des Lebens der Kirche zu einigen“ (siehe Nr. 37). Dies kann durch das volle Engagement der Kirchen geschehen, dass aus dem Vertrauen auf den Heiligen Geist entspringt. Der Heilige Geist baut die verletzten Beziehungen zwischen den Kirchen auf. Er achtet die menschliche Freiheit und gleichzeitig hat er die Kraft zur Inspiration und Wandlung von innen. Die Einheit, die er bildet, ist eine Einheit in Vielfalt und Verschiedenheit.

A critical historical approach to the activity of cardinal Jacob of Preneste within the boundaries of the Hungarian kingdom is present in both Romanian and Hungarian historiography. The studies approach a broader subject such as Church History or the History of the Hungarian kingdom, as well as specialized fields. However, when it comes to the cardinal of Preneste, most researchers have discussed his legation on a general level. This article presents this subject from a detailed and hierocratic perspective, focusing on the papal legate’s activity in Transylvania (1232-1234). The main issues are: Why did the cardinal come into the Arpadian kingdom? Did he have any authority to intervene in the internal political processes? What were the cardinal’s purposes and how much did he achieve during his stay in the area?

Słowo „model” występuje powszechnie w życiu codziennym, a także często pojawia się w naukach przyrodniczych i humanistycznych. Obrazy i modele odgrywają także istotną rolę w eklezjologii od początku chrześcijaństwa. Sobór Watykański II, nawiązując do języka Biblii i ojców Kościoła, korzysta z obrazów i modeli, aby pobudzić wierzących do refl eksji nad istotą Kościoła i jego zbawczym posłannictwem. Inspirowane nauką o Kościele modele pastoralnoeklezjologiczne powstają w oparciu o socjologiczną i teologiczną analizę sytuacji społecznej. Obejmują one wszystkie obszary działalności duszpasterskiej i umożliwiają jej planowanie. Pełnią funkcję projektów, które mogą nadać aktywności pastoralnej Kościoła określony kierunek. Ich wypracowanie prowadzi do sformułowania postulatów, których urzeczywistnienie służy wypełnianiu zbawczej misji ludu Bożego w świecie. Pozwalają Kościołowi inkarnować się w określoną rzeczywistość i służyć żyjącym w niej ludziom, wskazując im drogę do zbawienia i pełni życia w Chrystusie. Modele nie są zwykłym efektem poszukiwań teologicznych ani wynikiem ahistorycznego i socjologizującego pojmowania aktywności pastoralnej Kościoła, lecz owocem długotrwałego procesu duchowego i intelektualnego, któremu towarzyszy poszanowanie chrześcijańskiej tradycji. Można w nich dostrzec owoc działania Ducha Świętego, który nieustannie inspiruje do refl eksji nad treścią wiary i umacnia do przekazywania jej w nowy sposób na miarę wyzwań każdej epoki.

The mature Christian is not addressed to a “stop-gap” God because he is incapable of finding solutions or right answers, but he must profess his faith through responsible action.

Das Sakrament der Versöhnung verständlich zu machen in einer Welt, in der das Symbolische mit dem Strukturellen abgelöst zu sein scheint, und das Individuelle den Platz des Gemeinschaftlichen zu übernommen erweist, sollen betonter Weise dessen anthropologischen und kommunialen Dimensionen dargelegt werden. Die dogmengeschichtliche und bibeltheologische Untersuchung dieses Sakramentes bezeugen dessen unerlässlichen gemeinschaftlichen Charakter. Das hebt sowohl das alte Rituale Romano als auch die neue Regelung des Sakramentes der Versöhnung anhand der Lehre des Zweiten Vatikanums hervor. Über dem Sakrament der Versöhnung kann getrennt von den sonstigen Sakramenten nicht diskutiert werden. Der betroffene „ganze“ Mensch wird durch dieses Sakrament mit der „Ganzheit“ der Kirche und mit der „Ganzheit“ der Heilsereignissen konfrontiert. Die Versöhnung mit Gott wird mit der Versöhnung mit der ganzen Kirche, durch die die in Christus ermittelten Heilsereignissen für die Menschheit gegenwärtig werden, verbunden.

There are different ways and perspectives with which one can approach the liturgical book in order to grasp the full potentials and values contained therein. The author examines the Ordo Paenitentiae especially considering it as a „handbook” of spirituality for the Christian community. The goal is one of truly living the forgiveness and reconciliation. For this a set of pedagogical, theological, liturgical and pastoral attentions are to be activated before the celebration, but also during and after, so that the whole Christian life is sustained by a constant attitude of penance, which finds its synthesis really in its celebration.

The purpose of this article is to show Mary as an icon of the sacramental lifestyle in the Holy Spirit. The iconic character of Mary’s life consists above all in the manifestation, not her own, but received on the day of the Annunciation, the new life – Jesus Christ. Mary does not teach the doctrine, does not describe God, does not create abstract concepts about Him, but allows us to experience His real presence. From the very beginning, the Church also participates in the iconic style of Mary’s life, showing the accepted novelty to the world. Christians have neither borrowed nor copied this sacramental lifestyle from anyone. This is something completely original, something that the world cannot give them, but they can give it to the world.

The specific aim of this study is to emphasize the universality of its overall contribution to the renewal of the Church in the realm of pacifism, ecumenism, social teaching of the Church in confrontation with national socialism. The following is the sketch of the fundamentals of his ecclesiology, which are the Kingdom of God - Christ - The Church. In his case it is a Christocentricpneumatological ecclesiology. The author presents the image of the Church as „fraternal community“, which he calls Philadelphia. This vision of the Church seeks to be realized through the community, which plays the role of a small Church in the whole Church (ecclesiola in Ecclesia) and is to be an effective means of its renewal and apostolate in the life of the individual believers and parishes. This renewal supposed to be accomplished through the reigning marks of the Church: unity, holiness, Catholicism and apostolicity, which also represent the spirituality and sacred nature of the order of renewal itself.

The Exorcism in the Latin rite: theology, discernment and practice theology of exorcism in the Latin Rite presupposes a full assent of faith to the data of Divine Revelation, which affirms the existence of the demonic world and its action on men and on creation. The discernment of an “or-dinary” and “extraordinary” influence of the evil one requires careful dis-cernment regulated by spiritual doctrine but also by modern human sci-ences where there is need.Demonic possession phenomena intertwine with more or less serious forms of pathology that the deputy priest must find himself having to evaluate and manage. What is highlighted in the article is presented as a set of elements (theological, psychological and pastoral), which as “chal-lenges” challenge ecclesial action and reflection, in view of an exorcistic practice not marked by provisionality or carelessness, but which present themselves as a path based on the criteria of discernment indicated by the Church and its doctrinal and pastoral practice.

One of the main messages of the Second Vatican Council was to highlightthat members of the laity not only constitue and shape the Church but, even more importantly, have joint responsibility for it. The Church wants them towillingly respond to Christ’s calling which encourages them to take responsibility for the Church (see: Pope John Paul II, Apostolic Exhortation “Christifideleslaici”, 2-3). The Canon Law from 1983 mentions two advisory bodies which mayhelp the parish priest manage the parish. These are: the parish pastoral council(Canon 536 § 1) and the parish finance council (Canon 537).The aim of this article is to discuss the competencies of the parish finance council which is obligatory in each parish, according to the Canon 537of the Code of the Canon Law. This rule applies to every parish, both territorialand personal. The parish finance council does not have a legal identity, doesnot replace or cover for the parish priest in representing the parish, nor does itact on his behalf (Canon 532). It is an advisory body whose aim is to advise theparish priest on how to manage the assets of the parish. The duties and rulesof membership of the council should be defined both in the common law andin the particular law issued by the bishop of the diocese.

A man immersed in an anthropological crisis, which is loneliness is assisted by a Christian. Referring to interpersonal relations in the African context the author expresses his conviction of the fundamental value of the encounter in the process of evangelization. This encounter is the first and most basic step in an authentic transfer of faith. The meeting is encouraging for both sides, and the time spent with each other is invaluable.The dynamics of an authentic evangelization always leads to meeting with the person of Jesus Christ. This encounter leads to proper perceiving herself or himself and establishing appropriate relationship with neighbour. When we enter into a relationship with another person, we enrich ourselves. Referring to the biblical concept of meeting, the author indicates the dynamics of faith that prompts us to act for the benefit of others. In this way, the Gospel ceases to be a beautiful discourse and becomes the Good News that changes human life. Where people live the Gospel, the focus is on the human person realizing himself in God’s perspective.

Liturgical Discipline in Canon Law Framework of Celebration of the Eucharist

The article first examines the relationship between canon law regulation and liturgical books. It notes the priority given to the general disciplinary framework provided by canon law under the Code of Canon Law, and presents an example of the change that had to be made to the liturgical book of rites of anointing of the sick in order to comply with the new regulation in the Code of Canon Law. The text deals in detail with the liturgical excesses in the celebration of the Eucharist, as described and punished by the instruction Redemptionis sacramentum issued by the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. It also presents the motu proprio of Benedict XVI Summorum Pontificum, which expanded the use of the traditional Catholic rite according to the Missal last revised by John XXIII in 1962.
