Presenting the exhibition CAN for BALKANS, dedicated to historical comics in several Balkan countries in the city of Leskovac, Serbia. Along with the exhibition, which is shown in the historical museum of the city of Brasov, the Comic Museum in Brussels, the National History Museum in Tirana and in the City Cultural Center in Leskovac, there is also talk about the catalog in which drawn stories from five Balkan countries are collected.

Once again, the opposition has lost the elections in Turkey. Erdoğan remains president and determines the political fate of the country for another five years. He was able to skillfully distract voters from Turkey’s political and economic problems. At the same time, he put pressure on his challenger Kemal Kılıcdaroğlu by emphasizing ideological and security issues. He repeatedly accused him of complicity with the PKK. This smear campaign worked and was accepted by many voters. After the electoral defeat, the opposition is still shocked and seems currently incapable of acting. Parts of Turkish civil society are also frustrated and resigned that the change of power has not succeeded after 20 years of Erdoğan’s autocracy. Now the question remains whether the opposition will recover from this important election defeat.

Turkey under the AKP has become a paragon of autocratisation and competitive authoritarianism. However, as of yet, no consolidated autocracy has emerged. This study explores the factors that have obstructed Turkey’s autocratisation process by examining the country’s democratic legacy, the power of ideologically diverse political parties and the coordnation between them, the perseverance of civil society, and instances of noncompliance within the state apparatus. This study also takes into account the impact of recent crises: The exacerbating economic crisis and the regime’s botched response to the earthquake of 6 February 2023 laid bare the dysfunctionality of Hyper-Presidentialism, while opposition municipalities succeeded in demonstrating a credible alternative to the AKP’s neoliberal authoritarianism. As the elections of May 2023 show, however, these factors have not been sufficient for a transfer of power. The future of politics in Turkey will depend on the opposition’s perseverance and the regime’s ability to deepen autocratic governance.

The early parliamentary elections, scheduled to take place on 11 June 2023, will be the twelfth parliamentary elections since the introduction of a multi-party system and the sixth since Montenegro gained its independence. There are around 542 thousand eligible voters registered in the central electoral roll. Montenegro has a proportional electoral system in which the entire country constitutes one electoral unit. At the elections a total of 81 representatives will be elected to the Montenegro’s Parliament. The election threshold is 3%.

NON-FINANCIAL ENTERPRISES IN 2023 SEEN THROUGH THE EYES OF ENTREPRENEURS

Purpose – The aim of this article is to present Polish non-financial enterprises in 2023 against the background of previous years, as seen by the entrepreneurs themselves in surveys completed for the purposes of rapid monitoring of the National Bank of Poland. The author of the study has set himself the task of selecting, interpreting and commenting on selected measures and factors of business activity, as well as the characteristics that make up the landscape of microeconomic activity in Poland in 2023. Research method – The article uses a critical analysis of subject literature, historical analysis, and a comparative analysis of non-financial enterprises operating in Poland. Results – Both the economic forecasts formulated before the start of 2023, as well as the results and partial assessments made during this year, suggested that it would be very difficult, perhaps even crisis-like, for economic activity at the microeconomic level in Poland, as well as in most other countries. Hard data is not yet available, but the survey shows that the corporate sector in Our Country has coped quite well with external supply shocks generated mainly by the war in Ukraine. Polish companies avoided recession and the so-called soft landing scenario came true. Originality / value / implications / recommendations – The main advantages of this article lie in the topicality of the issues discussed and the relative comprehensiveness of the picture of Polish enterprises in 2023. Finally, an important issue is showing the relationship between what is happening at the microeconomic level and the prosperity of the macroeconomic sphere.

The Attitudes of Poles towards Abortion between 1989 and 2023

The article presents the attitudes of Poles towards abortion observed over time. The first part presents the notions of the general public, while the second focuses on the opinions of young people. For over two decades the acceptance of abortion was steadily becoming less and less common among Polish people. However, in 2016, when the issue of abortion became yet again the subject of legal, political and social debates, the percentage of Poles who oppose abortion started to decrease. Recently, young people display more liberal approaches towards the issue of abortion than the notions present in the general population. This correlates with the growing percentage of young people – especially women – who describe their political views as leftist. Subject scientific research: attitudes of Poles towards abortion; aim: presentation and analysis of changes of attitudes of Poles towards abortion; method: desk research.

Information technologies and artificial intelligence are increasingly present in creators works using photography.
